Public Transport
There is a City Bus service in Mount Gambier with four routes servicing the city Monday to Friday including stops near the major city attractions. The bus schedule is available from The Lady Nelson Visitor and Discovery Centre 1800 087 187 and The City of Mount Gambier. Bus services are operated by McCormic's Bus Service 08 87 24 9978.
Coach
There is a daily coach service between Adelaide and Mount Gambier through Premier Stateliner. The service operates along both the coastal and inland routs with stops at most towns along the way. There is also a daily coach service from Melbourne, Warrnambool and Ballarat to Mount Gambier through VLine. Nortons Coaches operate a passenger service Monday to Friday between Naracoorte and Horsham with connections to VLine and other passenger services.
Coorong Coaches operate a public bus service throughout the region. Pick-up at some route stops is only available by prior booking.
Taxi
Hire cars and taxis are available in many of the larger towns including Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Millicent, Penola and Bordertown. Contact the local Visitor Information Centre for details.

There are many hire options available when visiting the Limestone Coast from cars and coaches to scooters and bicycles to dive equipment and boats. Contact the local Visitor Information Centre for details on what's available in each town.
Driving
There are five highways leading into the Limestone Coast from Victoria:
- The Princes Highway (A1) joining the Great Ocean Road towards Mount Gambier
- The Wimmera Highway (C240) from Bendigo through Horsham into Naracoorte
- The Mallee Highway (B12) from the Murray Valley Highway to Tailem Bend
- The Western Highway (A8) from Melbourne through Ballarat and Horsham into Bordertown
- The Glenelg Highway (B160) from Ballarat through Hamilton to Mount Gambier.
From Adelaide you enter the Limestone Coast from the north on National Highway 1. There are two main routes to consider, via the coast along the Princes Highway (B1) and Southern Ports Highway (B101) or inland along the Dukes Highway (A8) and Riddoch Highway (A66).
Naturally, you can mix and match your route and take some exciting side trips. Experience rugged coastlines and ranges, quaint country towns, wilderness, wildlife and world renowned wines. Quality highways and arterial roads link all major towns and leisure spots.
Air
Flying into the Limestone Coast offers you the best views of the region from above. Flights are available daily between Adelaide and Mount Gambier and Melbourne and Mount Gambier through O'Connor Airlines and Regional Express (REX).
