Outback Safety

drag onto travel planner

Temperatures in the Outback can exceed 50 degrees Celsius and winds can create dust storms. Perhaps the best time to explore the Outback is in the cooler months between May and October. If you are travelling outside these months, prior planning is even more important.

Always carry plenty of water with you, and let trusted friends or family know of your travel plans and when you expect to return.

It's a good idea to always wear a hat, shirt, sunglasses and SPF30 sunscreen.

Read on below for our Outback driving tips.
