Don't miss these rich cultural and nature experiences in South Australia:

Coorong Wilderness Lodge

The Lodge is Aboriginal-owned and operated and has a fully licensed restaurant, accommodation facilities with quality rooms with en-suites, communal kitchen and lounge area, powered and non-powered caravan and camping sites. There are specialised guided walks and tours that give visitors a greater understanding of the Ngarrindjeri culture. Experienced guides can take you through ancient middens that extend as far as the eye can see, or take a walk along the water's edge and listen to the beauty of the Great Southern Ocean. Other activities include boating, canoeing, walking and bird watching.

Head of Bight
Head of Bight, Eyre PeninsulaHead of Bight, approximately 300 kilometres west of the regional township of Ceduna on Eyre Peninsula's far west coast, is a geographical feature of national environmental significance to Australians. Head of Bight is on the Yalata Aboriginal lands and is one of the best Southern Right Whale viewing areas in the world. This is where the white sand dunes and beaches meet the Bunda Cliffs (Great Australian Bight) of the Nullarbor Plain. Head of Bight is part of the Great Australian Bight Marine National Park, covering both State and Commonwealth waters. It provides protection for the Southern Right Whale, the Australian Sea-lion and numerous other species unique to these southern oceans.

Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal SiteNgaut Ngaut Aboriginal Site, Murraylands
An historical and cultural interpretation of Aboriginal association with the Mighty Murray River and its pristine environment. You can experience Aboriginal culture in perfect harmony with the river people. The ancient campsites, rock art and scarred red river gums reveal the ancient practice of canoe manufacturing which still continues along the length of the Murray River. Hear the Nganguraka guide give an account of this fascinating craft and how it was sourced and prepared for trading with neighbouring tribes. Visit the birth place of the Black Duck Dreaming, join guided tours through the Ngaut Ngaut archaelogical sites and visit the ancestral home of the Nganguraku People. Ngaut Ngaut is accessible to visitors by either road as independent travellers or by river transport. You can also access Ngaut Ngaut on river cruises through Captain Cook Cruises.

Warriparinga: Living Kaurna Cultural Centre
The entrance to Warriparinga is the Tjilbruki Gateway (pronounced jill-brookie), an homage to an Aboriginal ancestral creator whose role was to maintain peace, law and vigilance over the traditional lands of Kaurna people. Warriparinga is a traditional Kaurna Aboriginal winter campsite - meaning 'windy place by the river'. Set in a pristine open environment and abundant in indigenous plant species and fauna, it is just 20 minutes from the centre of Adelaide. Also at Warriparinga is the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre, a place where Kaurna cultural heritage is being repatriated and preserved, and where cultural celebration can prevail so that future generations can experience it.
