The South Australian Tourism Awards aim to recognise and promote business excellence in tourism. Managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission, the Awards are held annually and form part of the Australian Tourism Awards.

The awards process acknowledges achievement and fosters better business practices across a range of categories from five star international hotels to bed and breakfasts, and festivals and events to tourism wineries.

A panel of industry peers appointed by the South Australian Tourism Commission conducts state judging. The panel comprises a cross-section of tourism industry experts. Winners are judged to be the most outstanding entry in its category.
