Driving
The roads are open and the rides are spectacular. From the 4WD tracks in the desert, to the amazing coastal drive along the treeless expanse of the Nullarbor, South Australia was made for the touring driver.
For those looking for an adventure in the Outback, there's the Oodnadatta Track, a legendary dirt track which weaves through the northern areas of South Australia. Another brilliant - but much less daunting - drive is the sealed Stuart Highway, which runs north from Port Augusta, through the vast centre of the country, all the way to Australia's northern coastline.
For a less lengthy drive, explore our national parks at your own pace, or take a tag-along tour with a professional guide.
Or if you're just interested in cruising through the countryside, take one of the charming scenic drives through the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa, or the Clare Valley.
