Country markets are a window in to the heart of any region and the Fleurieu Peninsula has many of them selling everything from craft to home-made jams, fresh produce and gourmet foods and preserves.

Willunga Farmers' Market is held every Saturday morning at the Willunga Village Square. Shoppers line up for delicacies that include local venison, organic fruit tarts, rabbits, yabbies and Coorong mullett, local cheeses, free-range eggs - and even the chooks that laid them.

Other popular markest include:

  • Goolwa Wharf Market - first and third Sundays of every month
  • Inman Valley Craft Market - first Saturday of every month
  • Middleton Market - fourth Saturday of every month
  • Myponga Country Market - every weekend
  • Original Open Market at Christies Beach - first and third Sundays of every month
  • Port Elliot Market at Lakala Reserve - first and third Saturday of every month
  • Strathalbyn market - first Sunday of every month
  • Victor Harbor Country Market - second and fourth Sunday of every month
  • Willunga Quarry Market - second Saturday of every month
