Climb aboard one of the Fleurieu Peninsula's fabulous tourist railways for a relaxing scenic drive.
The Cockle Train travels along the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The coastline is dotted with delightful towns, Goolwa, Middleton, Port Elliot and Victor Harbor - all framed beautifully by the windows on this historic train. Stopovers are available at all these stations to visit local tourist attractions or stay onboard and enjoy the trip between Victor Harbor and Goolwa.
To confirm train running times on the day call either Victor Harbor Station on 08 8552 2782 or Goolwa Station on 08 8555 2691. At other times call 1300 655 991.
The Cockle Train will operate with diesel power over Christmas 2007 and into January 2008. The train will not operate if the forecast temperature in Victor Harbor is 35'C or over.
The Southern Encounter is a full day excursion, running once a month from Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills to Victor Harbor. Enjoy a few hours in picturesque Victor Harbor and take advantage of "Southern Pack" which entitles you to some exciting discounts on food wine and activities.
Enjoy the experience of a bygone era as our Classic 1920's Brill Railcar ambles over the Currency Creek Viaduct and through the rolling country side to Strathalbyn. This township nestled in the Adelaide Hills offers many tourist attractions.
