Travel by Car
From Adelaide you can travel one hour and 50 minutes to Blanchetown, the gateway to the Riverland, by taking Main North Road to Sturt Highway (A20). From Victoria via Mildura you can take the Sturt Highway (A20), which will take you to Paringa in the Riverland. From Sydney travel on the Mid-Western Highway (24) to the Sturt Highway (A20).

Adelaide to Barmera 220 kilometres - 2 hours 30 minutes
Adelaide to Morgan 163 kilometres - 1 hour 45 minutes
Adelaide to Loxton 255 kilometres - 2 hours 45 minutes
Adelaide to Waikerie 177 kilometres - 1 hour 45 minutes
Adelaide to Renmark 254 kilometres - 2 hours 45 minutes

By coach/bus
Premier Stateliner Coaches operate a regular service to towns in the Riverland from Adelaide Central Bus Station in Franklin Street. Greyhound Australia runs busses from Sydney to Adelaide that travel via the Riverland. Travel to the Riverland by coach or hire car.

By air
The Riverland has airstrips in Loxton, Waikerie and Renmark for use by private and charter aircrafts. Mildura (approximately one hour drive from the Riverland) is serviced by flights from Melbourne and Adelaide.

Ferries
You can cross the Murray River on car ferries in Morgan, Cadell, Waikerie and Lyrup.
