Fishing Regulations

drag onto travel planner

Help protect South Australia's valuable fish stocks by adhering to bag, boat and size catch limits. It is also important to remember that the Snapper closure season runs right through November.

A number of fishing regulations are in force to protect our precious supply of fish. Some species of fish are protected, while others have closed seasons.  Be aware that size and bag limits apply for some species, so find out before you fish.

South Australia's fishing regulations and fish stocks are managed by Primary Industries and Resources - check out the website for full details of recreational fishing guidelines, including catch limits and fish sizes.
