This fairy tale-like experience is set under the boughs of an ancient fig tree that is over 150 years old. The gnarled branches of the fig tree dip to the ground, then grow upwards again, creating ‘rooms’ of living growth. The dappled light peeping in through the broad leaves will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale. Proprietors Rachel Hannaford and Sasha Sachs wanted the experience to epitomise Kangaroo Island. “We wanted to create a dining experience that captured wilderness, great food, wine and a touch of magical wonder,” says Rachel. The Enchanted Fig Tree lunch is a set menu with two sittings at 12noon and 2.30pm. December - Mid April Shearing Shed Luncheons - May to November For a day of enchanting dining elegance, enjoy the candle-lit ambience and history of our family’s 150-year-old shearing shed. Eclectically decorated with antique furniture and chandeliers, the rustic shed is built from sugar gum trees and old corrugated iron – a true expression of pioneering architecture. Join us for a unique dining experience amongst candle light and locals. Open for lunch and dinner
