Southern Flinders Discovery Centre
Southern Flinders Discovery Centre is a community owned and operated tourism information and interpretive centre in Gladstone, the Southern entrance to the Flinders Ranges on Horrocks Highway.
The Centre promotes and works with food producers to showcase and connect visitors to the best of the Southern Flinders Tourism in food experiences.
We host a Seniors Broadband Kiosk which includes free internet access for locals and visitors alike.
As an interpretive centre, Gladstone's Heritage is on display telling the story of its beginnings and growth from a pastoral holding to agriculture, the great northern railway and its impact on the town.
Southern Flinders Discovery Centre offers a variety of tours either individually or in groups - a step on guide is available for coach groups who visit by appointment. Why not follow our Grain Trail?
Local art & crafts are available plus souvenirs & a large display of books & brochures to help travellers to plan their trip.
Check out the lovely sandstone homes & buildings.
Run entirely by volunteers with plenty of time for a friendly chat.
