Mount Gambier Cycling Club Alex Roberts 100 Mile Classic & Kermesse

The race is a handicapped event with club riders having the rare opportunity to race against some elite professionals. Race distance is currently 162km and travels through the picturesque Limestone coast with a route weaving a path through Mt Gambier-Tantanoola-Millicent-Glencoe-Mt Gambier-Pt MacDonnell-Mt Gambier. This race is named in honour of Alex Roberts who started this event in 1933. Mr Roberts passed away on March 8th, 2009 aged 104. Apart from a break during the war years the 100 Mile has been held every year since. State Kermesse Championship held around the picturesque 3.6km Blue Lake Circuit.
