Arid Recovery Reserve Tour
Arid Recovery is an ecosystem restoration initiative based in the South Australian outback and dedicated to the recovery of arid environments.
Established in 1997, the project is centred within a unique 123 square kilometre fenced reserve from which all feral cats, rabbits and foxes have been eradicated, providing for the reintroduction of locally extinct species and rehabilitation of ecosystems.
Arid Recovery is a unique example of industry, government, education and community working together in a four way partnership and an important centre for conservation research. The community are invited to visit the reserve to share the experience and to meet wildlife rarely seen anywhere else.
