Leave Adelaide early morning and head north on the journey to the Clare Valley. Clare Valley is legendary for its riesling, which is regarded as amongst the very best in the world. (Did you know that the screw cap was invented in the Clare Valley?) Australian rieslings are much dryer than their European counterparts which tend to be sweeter. If you love riesling, then you have definitely come to the right place. Welcome to the Clare Valley!
As you work your way up the valley, enjoy three cellar doors before having lunch at an award winning restaurant. Soon, after a midday feast, it's on to the last two wineries before heading home to the city of churches. If time permits, the tour travels through Balaklava, Mallala and Two Wells. Otherwise, return on the new Northern Expressway.
Operates: Daily at 8.30am.
