Giant Red Gum Trail Two Hour and 30 Minute Horse Ride - LCH03
This scenic trail ride takes you through farmland and pine forest to see the largest redgum on public land in the Limestone Coast region in the Naracoorte Ranges in South Australia. Estimated to be around 500 years old, this majestic tree with a girth of 11.3 metres towers above, as the horses enjoy a rest in its shade. Relax and take in the scenery, or challenge yourself as you ride your horse along the beautiful bush trails to our rustic bush hut. Enjoy a catered picnic with home cooking, regional produce and billy tea (seasonal). Local wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas, cockatoos and wombat habitats can be spotted, while, wattles, native orchids, wildflowers and wetlands are features in winter and spring. Trail includes riding instruction as required, with pace tailored to rider ability.
