Two Day Ultimate Outback Weekender
Day one: Includes a pick up from central Adelaide accommodation (time confirmed the day before) and transfer to Parafield Airport where you fly north over the Flinders Ranges and see Wilpena Pound, Brachina Gorge and Arkaroola. Next is the outback town of Innamincka, where you have the chance to canoe along the Cooper Creek and see hundreds of different bird species. From there head north over the rich wild and bird life of Coongie Lakes and land at Birdsville.
Day two: Today you depart Birdsville for the inland sea of Lake Eyre! You will follow the flooded Diamantina River and now-lush pastures to Goyders Lagoon, across the Simpson Desert, and onto Lake Eyre. After flying the length of the lake, you will land at William Creek, located on the world's largest cattle station, Anna Creek, and lunch at another famous iconic landmark, the William Creek Hotel. From William Creek, fly over Olympic Dam, Port Pirie and arrive back at Parafield Airport, Adelaide, by 5pm. If required, you will then be returned to your accommodation.
2013 dates to be confirmed.
