On this tour we start by spending approximately three hours in a mountainous private property engaging low range 4WD and traversing sheep station tracks taking in breath taking scenery. Morning tea is spent enjoying magnificent views of the southern rim of Wilpena Pound to the north, the Elder Range to the south west and Lake Torrens in the distance.
From here we head north and enter the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park from the western gate and travel along the stony bed of the Brachina Creek / Gorge stopping to look at the 530,000,000 year old marine fossils and other amazing geological structures.
Our picnic lunch location is home to a colony of the Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby and there is a high chance of seeing some of these amazing multi coloured, endangered wallabies.
After lunch we continue along the Aroona Valley and Bunyeroo Gorge making our way up the national parks most spectacular lookout / viewing point known as Razorback Lookout for a photo stop. From here we continue through the remainder of the national park and return to by approximately 5pm.
