Indigenous people have walked at Mungo National Park in the footsteps of their ancestors since the Dreamtime. Scientists have discovered artefacts of this ancient culture dating back over 50 000 years - this makes Mungo one of the oldest places outside of Africa to have been occupied by modern humans since ancient times.
This day tour from Rawnsley Park Station, on the South side of Wilpena Pound, is a wonderful opportunity to combine Mungo National Park, with the ancient landscapes of the Flinders Ranges. You can explore the landscapes of the Mungo National Park, and hear from your Indigenous Guide the remarkable story of how a culture was able to survive.
