Adelaide Central Market Sauce Day
On Friday 1 March, budding pasta chefs will be guided through the art of making gnocchi pasta, while on Saturday 2 March participants can roll up their sleeves and make their own passata to take home. The team from Lucia’s Pizza and Spaghetti Bar, who have been serving up classic Italian food for more than 65 years, will lend an (expert) hand and provide the same locally sourced tomatoes used in their famous range of sauces.
Sauce Day (Passata day) is a ritual for Italian-Australian family and friends to come together for a fun day creating delicious pasta sauce during the first few months of the year when tomatoes are most ripe.
The event will also include Market-wide activities including live music, face painting, cooking demonstration and live radio broadcast.

Children over 12 years of age require their own ticket, children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a supervising adult and should be included in the ticket of the adult attending (one child per adult).
