Heysen Sculpture Biennial

Adelaide

The Heysen Sculpture Biennial started in 2000 as an intimate artist-run event and has evolved into one of South Australia most significant contemporary sculpture events.
This year the contemporary Heysen Sculpture Biennial will be held in a natural setting at the historic Carrick Hill Estate where 22 artists will present installations on the theme, ‘Political Climate.’
Visitors will be intrigued and provoked by the range of works from emerging, mid-career and established practitioners using traditional, contemporary, recycled and natural, ephemeral mediums for their sculptures
Well-known local artists such as Clancy Warner, Oakey, Samuel Mulcahy and Wes Maselli are participants in the Biennial this year.
