Sweet Home Songs (Adelaide)

Adelaide

An intimate acoustic performance of songs about Adelaide and South Australia and reflecting on the theme of home, presented by award-winning songwriters Doctor D and Fergus Maximus in historic settings.

Born from the sell-out Adelaide Fringe shows SWT_HM_ADL and Sweet Home SA, Sweet Home Songs celebrates its people, places and culture, with a nod to history and a dose of self-deprecating humour. From amusing trivia to the deeply personal, discover the exploits of Annie Ross, one of our first female police officers based in Port Adelaide, the 1931 beef riot, the joys of beach life and wine consumption (lots), the O-Bahn, love and friendship across the continents, the fate of beloved music venues and iconic department stores, and the (re)naming of the city’s streets.
