The 6th Annual Great Adelaide Ukulele Picnic!
Free and open to all, the 6th Annual Great Adelaide Ukulele Picnic brings together 23 community-based ukulele groups from across South Australia for a day full of music, food, drink and camaraderie. Each group will take their turn leading hundreds of players in their chosen songs (2 or 3 per group). Even if you are not in a uke group, they'd love you to join in and sing along. If you have a uke, strum it!
This year's theme is 'Happy Together', and if you dress in bright colours, you'll add to the joy. Hawaiian shirts are popular with this crowd!
Bring your own picnic food and drink, with food trucks for those who forget to bring a hamper. If it's warm, look out for the icecream truck.
Buy a uke from suppliers onsite or just soak in the relaxed atmosphere. They'll have uke accessories for sale as well - music books, capos, tuners, strings, kazoos!
