Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze or Silver Award Practice or Qualifying Journey package

This package will take place during the October school holidays in the Mt Lofty Ranges, with a pre-requisite planning session to occur on the 29th of September, between 9-3.30pm, in Glynde.

The journey includes a 2 hour pre-trip planning session, all instruction, maps and compasses, a backpack, stove, fuel, tent, sleeping mat, raincoat, transport and highly experienced and accredited bushwalking supervisors for the journey.

During preparation session, The planning session is required by all Duke of Edinburgh participants wishing to achieve their Bronze or Silver Award. Differentiation and expectations will vary relative to bronze or silver awardees.

The Adventurous Journey is scheduled for Wednesday the 9th to Friday the 11th of October. This three day journey will occur in the Mt Lofty Ranges area with the route being established during the planning session. The first two days will be your Practice Journey. The second evening will include a debrief and route planning session for the Qualifying Journey which will begin on the third day. There will also be a debrief session upon completion of the Qualifying Journey.
