Rojomoma

Barossa

Join Sam & Bernie in the their winery for a private tasting among the barrels and basket press. Sam Kurtz, Bernadette (Bernie) Kaeding and their teenage son Raj make up Rojomoma, a family run micro winery. Sam, a seventh generation Barossan with a continual family history in grape growing and winemaking back to the 1840s, has been making wine a long time. 2016 saw his 30th vintage. Bernie has been in the Barossa since 1996 when she started working with wine. Their 5ha vineyard in the Ebenezer sub-region is home to beautiful plot of old dry grown Grenache vines planted in 1886. Since purchasing the property in 1996 the family planted up the remaining land to Shiraz, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are hand pruned, shoot thinned and handpicked; treating each vine individually to get the best from it. They handcraft their wine on site in their small rustic winery. Bernie is also a photographer and author. Her art is displayed around the winery. They have won many local and national awards including the trophy for "Most Successful Exhibitor, Small Winery" in 2020 and 2017 at the Barossa Wine Show. A $20/person tasting fee applies which is redeemable on wine purchase. Bookings are essential.
