Grand Baron's Tasting Experience

Barossa

From $300.00

A hosted tour and tasting of rare and distinguished wines at Australia’s only regional cellar and grand repository of Barossa wine, The Barossa Cellar, set into the hill and overlooking the vineyard landscapes of the valley floor.

Join your host and Baron of Barossa, on a tour of this magnificent building, then don the staple uniform of a vigneron – gumboots – as you enjoy exclusive access to a shiraz vineyard like no other. Planted from cuttings of 35 of Australia’s most famous shiraz vineyards (think Henschke, Yalumba, Langmeil, Greenock Creek, Elderton and more) this vineyard speaks of Barossa’s old vine heritage and its generous, collaborative wine industry. Most specially its significance lies in its DNA, representing some of the oldest shiraz genetics in the world.

Your host will then take you into heart of the cellar, The Vault, where you wander the 3000+ bottle collection of rare and distinguished wines, ageing gracefully in this most special place. Enjoy a private tasting of six hand-selected wines from this prestigious collection, chosen by Grand Master Baron of Barossa, Louisa Rose. This is a guided tasting of rare and aged Barossa wines meticulously cellared and opened at their peak, just for you.
