The Three Little Sisters - The Andrews Sisters Concert
As we know an actual concert by the Andrews Sisters is decades too late. However as one of the most popular entertainment acts during the 1930’s and 1940’s Patty, LaVerne and Maxine took the world by storm and during World War 2 travelled thousands of miles entertaining the allied troops.
When the war ended in 1945 it was the Andrews Sisters, who on a tour of Italy entertaining the troops, first announced the end of the war to 5,000 allied troops at a concert.
Now we have the Three Little Sisters being acclaimed and honouring the original trio with their Tribute Show. The Little Sisters and the incredible band of the 10th/27th Battalion Royal South Australian Regiment to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the beginning of World War 2 and the 75th anniversary of D Day, the allied invasion of Europe.
