Overview

Catering for small personal groups, this tour visits the southern right whale sanctuary at the Head of the Great Australian Bight, adjacent to the Nullarbor Plain and Bunda Cliffs. There will be 60 to 100 or more southern right whales in the area which you will view at close proximity from cliff top platforms.

You will be picked up from your accommodation at 7:30am or at Ceduna Airport when your flight arrives and chauffeured to the Head of the Bight.

Lunch will be homemade soup and pastries, spelt or sourdough breads, roast chicken and salads and fruit and juices.

Flights over the whale sanctuary can be arranged (weather permitting and at extra cost). Stay at Nullarbor Hotel/Motel overnight.

In the morning see cliffs, sand-hills, beaches and the whales with calves. Returning to Ceduna via Nundroo, Coorabie and on to see the ruins of the old Yalata Homestead, headquarters of early pastoralists. Then to Fowlers Bay for afternoon tea and see the sand-hills where Edward John Eyre started his epic journey. Travel on to Cactus Beach to see the sunset.

Return to Ceduna Airport 6:30pm, or return to accommodation from Cactus Beach option at 8pm.
