South Australian Wooden Boat Festival 2019

27 Apr 2019 - 28 Apr 2019
9:00 AM - 10:00 PM

The South Australian Wooden Boat Festival is a bi-ennial festival held over two days and two evenings on the last weekend of April at the Historic River Port of Goolwa, located on the Fleurieu Peninsula, a pleasant one hour drive south of Adelaide, South Australia. The Festival delivers an exciting mix of wooden boats, people, food, wine, and entertainment.

The on-water program is conducted within closed waters on the Murray River with 5 courses to allow for the variety of boats registered participating safely in the festival while providing a stunning display for spectators.

The on-land program including maritime displays, demonstrations and seminars, art exhibitions, children’s activities, music, regional food and wine and festival fare completes the festival atmosphere.

The 16th festival to be held at the historic Goolwa Wharf and surrounding river precinct will be held on the 27th and 28th April 2019. In 2019 the Festival dates follow the 25th April ANZAC Day public holiday giving potential for visitors to make a long weekend to attend the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival.
