Overview
Surrounded by rolling hills, picturesque valleys, tall gums and farming country, the charming historic town of Strathalbyn is recognised as one of South Australia's loveliest country towns.
It is easy to stroll around exploring the heritage architecture or just meander along the Angas River Walk. Strathalbyn is the unofficial antique capital of South Australia and has one of Australia's most beautiful and photographed churches (Saint Andrews).
The Strathalbyn Visitor Information Centre is located within the heart of Strathalbyn in the old Railway Station. The Visitor Centre promotes tourism services and experiences by providing up to date information with specialist knowledge of Strathalbyn, the Alexandrina Region, Fleurieu Peninsula and beyond.
They offer booking services for accommodation, tours, Sealink travel, zoo passes and other experiences. The centre has a great range of brochures and souvenirs. Guided tours are available by appointment.
There is ample parking for all types of vehicles, a barbecue area, shady trees, playground and public toilets.
