The architecturally designed building utilises local stone, corrugated iron, glass and Australian hardwoods. Features include front elevated deck and a rear sheltered courtyard set into the ridge and incorporating an open fireplace, drinks niche and wood fired pizza oven. Power is sourced underground from the station’s own solar / wind power system and rainwater tanks under the building serve all of the bathrooms and kitchen.
There are four bedrooms with ensuites in the lodge that can be in king or twin mode. Each bedroom features its own private deck and skylights that are strategically placed to give guests that “sleeping under the stars” experience. A spacious fully equipped kitchen with lounge and dining areas sits between the bedroom units. All rooms are serviced by an evaporative air conditioner and gas heaters. A laundry completes the complex.
