Bordertown Visitor Information Centre
The Bordertown Visitor Information Centre is located the Tatiara Council Office. Bordertown is the gateway to South Australia's eastern border.
Tolmer Park is a delightful place to take a break and appreciate the district's spectacular red gums and natural beauty. The park was named after Police Inspector Alexander Tolmer who led gold escorts from the Victorian goldfields to Adelaide during 1852 and 1853; this saved the infant state of South Australia from bankruptcy.
Bordertown is famous for white kangaroos, found in the nearby wildlife park and is the birthplace of Bob Hawke, former Prime Minister of Australia.
