National Trust SA Moonta Branch proudly supports the Kernewek Lowender Cornish Festival and all venues will be open during this week and showcasing the story of the Cornish Miners and their families.
The Moonta History Centre will have a display depicting A Century of Changes in Health 1861 - 1961. Well worth a visit.
We will be offering our Road Tram Tour of Moonta Township - bookings essential. This popular tour takes you on a unique tram ride around the streets of Moonta with extensive commentary from your guide.
We also offer a Guided Tour of Moonta Mines Taylor's Shaft and Richman's Pumphouse. Hear the story of the first shaft opened in the mines and how important the pumphouse was to the mining of copper ore.
Greg Drew - retired and renowned Geologist will take you on a walking tour of this nationally listed Heritage Precinct. Bookings essential.
