Every March the streets of Adelaide will come alive with the growls, roars and screeches of some of the fastest vehicles in the world. RACE CATEGORIES


Touring Car Masters

Muscling their way around around the track, Touring Car Masters cars are by far the loudest and beefiest in the Adelaide 500. See legends of motor sport line up on the grid, including John Bowe and Steven Johnson.

Stadium Super Trucks

Bridging the gap between on-track and air displays, 650 horsepower Stadium Super Trucks launch themselves over special ramps around the Adelaide circuit at speeds reaching 240 kilometres per hour. 

Virgin Australia Supercars Championship

See iconic Supercars power around the Adelaide street circuit in the opening round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. Shane Van Gisbergen took the crown in the final Clipsal Adelaide 500 race last year.

Porsche Carrera Cup Australia

With an all-Porsche field, this category highlights the drivers' ability to navigate the wild track. See high-profile stars go head-to-head with up-and-coming drivers, pushing awesome Porsches to their limits. The competition is always fierce in the Porsche Carrera Cup with break-neck speeds and hair-raising action.

Dunlop Super2 Series

See the next generation of Supercar drivers cutting their teeth on the famous Adelaide street circuit. The Dunlop Super2 Series is the perfect platform for aspiring 'main game' drivers to gain valuable seat time for the enduros at Bathurst, Sandown and Surfers, or to start their quest for the Dunlop Super2 crown.

Audi R8 LMS Cup

The Audi LMS Cup makes its Australian debut with a field of more than 20 identical Audi R8 LMS GT3 race cars. Fans can expect wheel-to-wheel racing of the highest order. Choose from a Grandstand Seat, a Platform, or General Admission ticket for unique experiences of the wild, on-track thrills and spills of the Adelaide 500 Audi R8 LMS Cup.

Nulon Improved Production Cars 

Back for its second year, this exciting category is one of the fastest growing in circuit racing in Australia. Nulon Improved Production cars are similar to everyday cars but modified for the circuit. In 2018 we'll see which one will come out on top.

ECB Super Utes 

ECB SuperUtes will make their first Adelaide appearance in 2018. The highly-anticipated ECB SuperUtes Series represents a new automotive segment on-track featuring the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan Navara, Holden Colorado and Mazda BT-50 production models which have been upgraded for racing.

Adelaide 500 20th Anniversary Car Display

The Adelaide 500 20th Anniversary Car Display will include one car from each year of the event, showcasing the evolution of Supercars since the first Adelaide event in 1999. 20 cars will be assembled in a dedicated marquee and will head onto the famous track for a spirited demonstration on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Supercars Paddock

Let loose on the Supercars Paddock and get up-close and personal with your favourite drivers, crews and cars. It's your opportunity to see the big race rigs, get an autograph, take a photo and spot the motor sport world's hottest celebs. Tickets can be purchased at the paddock gate.

Showtime FMX

Look up as the Showtime FMX team perform awesome dare-devil stunts including the holygrab, ruler, jackhammer and crowd favourite: back flip. Be amazed as Australia's top freestyle Moto X performers jump dirt bikes 24m ramp-to-ramp, reaching heights of more than 14m. 

Top Fuel Dragster Demonstration

A top fuel dragster accelerates from standstill to 160 km/h in as little as 0.8 seconds and can exceed 450km/h (280mph) in just 200 metres! Under full throttle, a dragster engine consumes 43 litres of nitro methane per second; a fully loaded 747 consumes jet fuel at the same rate with 25% less energy being produced. NEW HOLLAND SPLIT RHYTHM PRESENTED BY MONSTER ENERGY 

A two-wheeled extreme sport, New Holland Split Rhythm is a one minute straight sprint that will test riders to race with perfect precision, explosive speed and a little style as they negotiate plenty of jumps and a lack of turns.

Australia’s top riders will battle it out on a purpose-built Supercross-style track, built with more than 5000 tonnes of dirt over 450 metres with just two corners.

Food, drink and entertainment

Grab a drink and bite to eat at the Coopers Session Ale Beer Garden Bar or Concert Green. Let the kids run wild in the RAA Family Fun Zone, the Disney Zone  and the NERF HQ Zone or cool down on the gigantic watersilde.
