McLaren Vale is an internationally acclaimed wine district, nestled between the Mount Lofty Ranges and the beautiful beaches that line the coastline of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Activity 1: Wine Tasting at d’Arenberg Wines followed by a tour of The Cube

Family owned and purchased in 1912, this understated winery is on top of a hill overlooking the district. The d’Arenberg label is well known with its distinctively flavored wines reflecting much of the history of the area. With Chester Osborn, fourth generation family winemaker, d’Arenberg offers a unique wine tasting experience with over 60 wines made from more than 25 grape varieties.

d’Arenberg Cube is inspired by the complexities and puzzles of winemaking, Chester created the idea of a cube-shaped building. Each of the five levels have been carefully designed to entice and excite the senses.  The top level houses the d’Arenberg cellar door and private tasting areas, offering the opportunity to lend and bottle your own wine.

Activity 2: Lunch at d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant

With breathtaking views overlooking the rolling hills of McLaren Vale, d'Arry's Verandah Restaurant is the idyllic place for an unforgettable dining experience. Head Chef Peter Reschke draws inspiration from local and seasonal produce to complement the award winning d'Arenberg wines, and a selection of international treats.

Activity 3: Woodstock Wines Estate wine tasting and kangaroo/wallaby feed in the wildlife sanctuary

Surrounded by towering ancient gum trees and tranquil native gardens, Woodstock Wine Estate's quintessential Australian landscape provides a perfect setting to enjoy fine wines, good food and warm hospitality.

The Woodstock Wildlife Sanctuary grew from Scott Collett’s decision to conserve approximately 3 hectares of natural scrub to showcase some Australian native animals.

Activity 4: Return to Adelaide travelling via Fleurieu Peninsula’s scenic coastline.
