Event
'St Nicholas Comes to Hahndorf' is an annual community event, sponsored by St Paul's Lutheran Church each year on the Friday evening closest to 6th December. This year, it will be held on Friday 5th December.

The event is built on the tradition of 'St Nicholas', whom was not only a real person (and a Saint), but he was also known for many wonderful deeds that we all associate with Christmas and the Holiday Season.
The event being themed around the life of St Nicholas therefore hopes to bring the community together in a spirit of celebration at Christmas and caring about others.

The schedule for this years' event is planned as follows:
6.30 – 7.15pm
Craft activities for the children will be held in the Alec Johnston Park, during which there will be a FREE sausage sizzle for families to enjoy.

7.15 – 7.20pm
A short parade with the Hahndorf Town Band leading the entrance of St Nicholas and his helper characters following alongside.

7.20 – 8.00pm
After the arrival of St Nicholas, the program continues with:
A short 'St Nicholas Message' to the children - 'Giving to Others'
