What Women Hold - 16 Days of Activism

Presented by the City of Adelaide, a powerful and deeply moving display of artworks by women sharing their experiences of gender-based violence and homelessness is on display from the 25th November to the 10th December 2025, making a public statement during the 16 Days of Activism.

The featured artworks were created by clients of Catherine House in partnership with The Art Bus artists and curators Claire and Miranda Harris, and Skills SA, Adult Community Education. The artworks were first exhibited at the Kerry Packer Gallery in November 2024 as part of the What Women Hold exhibition.

This new installation brings the works into public space, amplifying the voices and experiences of women affected by domestic and gender-based violence. The display explores the complex emotions surrounding inequality, housing stress, and homelessness, and calls on the community to speak out and drive change.
