This Guided Walk will feature the two Parks either side of Jeffcott Road in North Adelaide. Skirting around the massive State Government Aquatic Centre development site, we'll focus on the community facilities and wide biodiversity of Denise Norton Park / Pardipardinyilla (Park 2) and the northern section of Possum Park / Pirltawardli (Park 1).
Our commentary will include stories of two famous South Australians who've been involved in fights to (1) protect dozens of trees from Government chainsaws, and (2) re-open a closed road through these Park Lands. We'll point out the surprisingly-varied collected of native and non-native trees that line the fairways of the northern golf course.
Wear sturdy shoes for a walk of about two hours duration.
Bring the kids!
Dogs on leads are also most welcome.
