The opening of the new exhibitions at The Little Machine presenting new work by South Australian artists Christian Lock and Gerry Wedd.

Bloom - Gerry Wedd
BLOOM presents new ceramics by Gerry Wedd. Plates, cups and pots are adorned with finely painted images of sea creatures washed up dead along South Australia's coastline, a direct response to the current algal bloom. While confronting in subject matter, the works are underpinned by Wedd's wry humour and sharp political edge, transforming everyday objects into a commentary on environmental collapse.

Arc - Christian Lock
ARC marks the culmination of Christian Lock's recent series of expanded abstract paintings. Bringing together the very first canvas made several years ago with two of its most recent and final works, the exhibition traces the evolution of his process. Lock's practice merges colour, geometry, texture, and surface to explore spiritual and technological dimensions of painting. In these works, vivid phosphenes of blue and patterned grids open onto a world of pure sensation and immaterial transmissions.
