Event
Presented by the City of Adelaide and Smell Art, Scents of Place – A Guided Journey is an intimate, immersive tour through the vibrant smellscape of the Central Market and Chinatown.
Led by Melbourne-based scent specialist Erin Adams (Smell Art), this unique sensory experience explores how scent shapes memory, flavour, and our sense of place. From fragrant spices and pungent cheeses to local honey and delicate teas, participants will journey through the aromatic ingredients that define this iconic precinct.
Along the way, Erin shares stories, insights, and scent-based prompts that invite you to slow down, tune in, and literally stop to smell the stories of Central Market and Chinatown.
Tickets are priced at AUD5 and include a small goody bag featuring delicious local treats. The activity lasts approximately one hour. It will be held on Thursday, 25th September, at 10am and 2pm, and on Friday, 26th September, at 10am, 2pm, and 4pm. Your meeting point is at the corner of Moonta Street and Gouger Street.
