SciPub aims to promote understanding of and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the general public. Their monthly gatherings are held on the last Friday of each month. Science in the Pub brings together anyone who may or may not consider themselves scientists, in the shared interest of understanding, critiquing, debating, and learning more about current issues in science.

From the air we breathe to the temperatures we experience in a typical Adelaide summer; our environment is a powerful but perhaps at times overlooked driver of health. Join us as our expert panel explore environmental determinants of health. We will how environmental light can impact our moods and cognition, the impact of rising temperatures on human health and the different ways contaminants in the environment can affect our health and wellbeing.

Expert Panel:
Prof Sean Cain – College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University
Dr Farzana Kastury – Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia
Dr Matthew Borg – School of Public Health, University of Adelaide

Please join them on Friday 28th of November at the Adelaide Irish Club (13-15 Carrington St, Adelaide). The event starts at 6:00 pm and will finish by approximately 7:30 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
