Science in the Pub - The Science of Healthy Aging

Adelaide

Free
Event
Science in the Pub aims to promote understanding of and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the general public. Our monthly gatherings are held on the last Friday of each month. Science in the Pub brings together anyone who may or may not consider themselves scientists, in the shared interest of understanding, critiquing, debating, and learning more about current issues in science.

Healthy aging starts before birth and is shaped by biology, lifestyle, and our social connections. Explore the science of aging: the role of the placenta, social influences on health and longevity, and programs to reduce falls and injuries. How to age well, live well, and stay connected.

September 2025 panellists:
Dr Anya Arthurs – Flinders Medical Centre / University of Adelaide
Dr Nadia Corsini – Clinical and Health Sciences, UniSA
Dr Agathe Daria Jadczak – QEH, BHI, University of Adelaide

Please join then on Friday 26th of September at the Adelaide Irish Club. The event starts at 6:00 pm and will finish by approximately 7:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:30 pm.
