Science in the Pub aims to promote understanding of and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the general public. Their monthly gatherings are held on the last Friday of each month. Science in the Pub brings together anyone who may or may not consider themselves scientists, in the shared interest of understanding, critiquing, debating, and learning more about current issues in science.
The expert panel will share their expertise on all things housing, including the role of housing quality for supporting health and well-being, innovative architectural approaches to improve sustainability and thermal comfort in homes, and differences in the housing needs of individuals within their communities.
October 2025 panellists:
Prof Emma Baker – Australian Centre for Housing Research, University of Adelaide
Dr David Kroll – School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, University of Adelaide
Dr Debbie Faulkner – Centre for Markets, Values and Inclusion, University of South Australia
Join them on Friday 31st October at the Adelaide Irish Club . The event kicks off at 6:00 pm and will finish by ~7:30 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm. All drinks are to be purchased at the bar but guests are welcome to bring their own food. Attendance is free, but please register so the venue can set up seating. They recommend arriving early to secure your preferred seating.
