Event
Science in the Pub aims to promote understanding of and enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the general public. Our monthly gatherings are held on the last Friday of each month. Science in the Pub brings together anyone who may or may not consider themselves scientists, in the shared interest of understanding, critiquing, debating, and learning more about current issues in science.

Join them to discuss how non-invasive imaging can be used to detect wine fraud, endometriosis, and how insect heart rate can serve as an environmental indicator.

January 2026 panellists:
Ané Kritzinger: Adelaide University (previously University of Adelaide)
A/Prof Jodie Avery: Robinson Research Institute, Adelaide University (previously University of Adelaide)
Danyi Wang: Adelaide University (previously University of South Australia)

Please join us on Friday 30th January at the Adelaide Irish Club (13-15 Carrington St, Adelaide). The event kicks off at 6:00 pm and will finish by ~7:30 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm. All drinks are to be purchased at the bar but guests are welcome to bring their own food. Attendance is free, but please register so the venue can set up seating.
