Popular local talent competition, Search For A Star, is making its grand return with Australian Idol 2025 winner, Marshall Hamburger, set to make his Adelaide debut with his eight-piece band headlining the Grand Final on Friday, 3 October!
From 1998 to 2007 at Fellini's in North Adelaide, Search For A Star showcased and brought together emerging South Australian talent while fundraising for various charities, raising more than $250,000 for organisations including support for childhood cancer and Foundation 21. The competition, created by Tony Rocca and Teresa Bruno, spotlighted some of the best emerging talent in the state, including Orianthi Panagaris, who became Michael Jackson's lead guitarist for the This is It tour, and former Australian Idol winner, Wes Carr.
With the competition reviving in 2025, this year's top finalists will take the stage for one final showdown, competing for a paid performance on Vietnam Mekong River Cruise worth more than AUD20,000, two days in a recording studio, and a share in a AUD50,000 prize pool.
The night of entertainment, talent, and celebration will support the Make-A-Wish Foundation, bringing hope and joy to children with illnesses.
