Semaphore Music Festival celebrates its 15th Anniversary over the October Long Weekend with an amazing line-up of South Australian live music around the heritage precincts of Semaphore/Port Adelaide. The participating venues this year are Hart’s Mill Flour Shed, Semaphore Workers Club, Exeter Hotel, The Fed, Semaphore Hotel, Hades Hula House, Mr V Music and The Palais Hotel.
Friday 4 October Opening Night Party is hosted by the Semaphore Workers Club and features Andy Seymour Hot Buttered Soul. The Streamliners and psycho-billy trio 19-Twenty appear Saturday 5 October. Sunday 6 October Hart's Mill presents two stages, two bars, Flourish Multicultural Food Court and Hart Beat Market with art installations, vintage fashion and stalls. The line-up includes Kelly Menhennett, Ollie English, Oh Lion, SEABASS, Fleur Green & the Keepers, Susan Lily & the Gorgeous Cowboys, Horse Lords, Cherry Pickers, Nobody’s Sweethearts, with Comedian Lori Bell as MC.
On Monday 7 October the inaugural Down by the River Opening Ceremony features Jack Buckskin performing the Kaurna ‘Welcome to Country’. Internationally acclaimed Aboriginal singer songwriter Frank Yamma will appear alongside Vonda Last, Corey Theatre, the MERRg, Eddie Peters, Of Desert & Sea Dance with MC Joshua Warrior.
