2 day Strong Daughters Deep Creek adventure

An opportunity to accompany your daughter (or granddaughter/niece) on an overnight camping adventure.

Take the time to share the challenge and fun, and help your Strong Daughter appreciate her strength, resilience and personal capability. These events are aimed for girls aged 9-14 and encourage outdoor skills and knowledge building.

Strong Daughters and their mums (grandmothers/aunties) will hike 12km over 2 days carrying belongings in a backpack, along undulating bush and forest trails. Activities include learning to build a simple shelter, erecting tents, camp cooking, wristband making, campfire skills, safe hiking techniques and more. A backup vehicle is on hand to carry heavy or excess items so only a comfortable weight is carried in the backpacks.

All adventures are lead by a peer mentor and an experienced female outdoor leader. All leaders carry a group first-aid kit, emergency communications device, emergency documentation and equipment.

We supply backpacks, 2 person tents, sleeping bags and liners, sleeping mats, cooking stoves and fuel, meals, snacks, drinks, and all materials for the activities.
