The Kapunda Community Gallery was opened in 1989. The Community Gallery hosts eight exhibitions each year, including traveling exhibitions
Local and regional artists are featured in other exhibitions, each with a duration of 6 to 8 weeks.
The gallery exhibition space is complemented by a Gift Shop area where local and regional artists can display and sell their original handmade goods, including cards, jewelry, pottery, birdhouses, small paintings, etc.
There are two major annual exhibitions - the Summer Open Art Exhibition/Competition for which Awards are given including Judges' Prizes, the People's Choice Prize and commendations.
In addition there is the annual August South Australian Living Artists Festival exhibition, the theme of which varies each year.
The Gallery has associated painting and drawing groups, that meet regularly and hold occasional exhibitions of participants works
