Celebrate World Bee Day at Barossa Farmers Market!
The Bring Your Buzz campaign is a result of joint forces from the Australian Farmers’ Markets Association and the Wheen Bee Foundation, and Barossa Farmers Market are getting involved this year! This year's theme is ‘celebrating bees and their vital role in global food systems’.
Shoppers are encouraged to wear YELLOW to the market, and support the local honey producing stallholders, including Kapunda Honey Co., Barossa Gold, Waechter's Farm Produce & Kurianda Barossa!
Sheralee Menz of Those Barossa Girls will also be holding a cooking demonstration on the market demonstration kitchen, showing you how to bake honey biscuits!
Barossa locals Bob and Sandy will be also attending the market with their sunflower car (weather permitting), and free sunflower seeds to encourage you to grow flowers at home to help the bees!
Shopping at a farmers’ market is also one of the most bee-friendly ways to buy your fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, and even your morning coffee!
