175 Year Birthday Bash - The Rising Sun
Clare Valley
Event
In January 2026, the Rising Sun Hotel marks a remarkable milestone, celebrating 175 years at the heart of Auburn and the Clare Valley. To honour the occasion, the pub will host a three-day anniversary celebration bringing together live music, great food and the community that has shaped the Rising Sun since 1851.
Festivities begin on Friday evening with an extended locals' happy hour followed by DJ Murph setting the tone for the weekend.
Saturday features a full day of live music on the Stable Green, with performances from Tara and Richard Coates, Warren Milera with Glenn Skuthorpe, and The Sunrise Collective, The Rising Sun's newly formed house band.
Saturday night transitions to a more intimate experience with Peter Head presenting King of the Cross with Dinner and a Show. Guests are welcomed with a glass of sparkling, followed by a three-course dinner. With only 30 seats available, this event offers a close and personal evening of food and storytelling.
Sunday brings the weekend to a close with The Big Dance. The line-up includes Shyla Eve, followed by Mick Kidd and Dave Blight, with Motel Music headlining. With live music continuing into the evening, it's a fitting send-off to a landmark celebration.
Tickets are required for entry on Saturday + Sunday, with Smokey Uppercuts American BBQ on site, serving food throughout the weekend.
