The Woodstock Wildlife Sanctuary is home to Eden, Maple, Rawnsely, Prairie, Abraham and Dusty, all rescued Western Grey Kangaroos. Together with a friendly emu called Maverick, they will be the ones meeting and greeting you at our feeding sessions.

In 2021 we welcomed two rescue orphan Western Grey Kangaroos, Rooby and Clare.

The wildlife numbers in the sanctuary continue to grow through breeding, and as more rescued, hand-reared animals are offered to our care.

We encourage you to look up into the majestic gum trees on the Estate, both the ones inside and outside the Sanctuary, as we often have visiting koalas stopping by to nibble on their favourite Eucalypts. Considering koalas can spend up to 20 hours a day sleeping, seeing one quietly perched and fast asleep in the fork of one of our gum trees is not unusual.

We are pleased to be able to offer visitors to Woodstock a unique and truly Australian encounter with the animals in the Sanctuary. We hold a supervised feeding session each day at 11:30am.

Dusty, Maverick, and the more tame residents, being the Grey Kangaroos and some Wallabies, look forward to this session each day as much as we do!
